I bought a big bag of hot roasted chestnuts from a street vendor on Sunday.

Most of them are still in my fruit bowl. How long will they last for? Are they still safe to eat?

Thanks

Any ideas?
I would say, if they're still in their shells, then they're ok to eat. I have some in my fridge but with no shells on.
I don't think they'll be too hot at the moment.
Pickle them. Pickled chestnuts are lovely.
If they are hot you are supposed to eat them there and then.
If you want ones to keep you buy them uncooked then roast them as you want them.
Yeah, mine in the fridge are uncooked. But yours have been cooked,so should be ok.

Thank you. They are still in shells.
I agree with Eddie.
Personally I would bin them, much better to eat the hot and freshly roasted.
Can they be reheated ?.
Of course they can.
NOTES:
The pre-peeled/pre-cooked chestnuts can be stored at room temperature for up to a year. After opening the vacuum seal pouch, the pre-peeled/pre-cooked chestnuts should be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within two to three weeks.

You buy hot chestnuts in the shell then peel themm
Sorry, Hot roast chestnuts are ready cooked hot 'street food' like a portion of chips, made to eat right there out of the bag.
All greengrocers and supermarkets sell chestnuts at this time of year but they are raw uncooked. You buy them and roast them yourself under a grill, in the oven or on an open fire (like the song says). When I was a child we used to put them on the coal shovel and roast them on the fire.
Don't forget to prick them first else they have a tendency to explode and make a mess of the oven or the carpet.

Thanks everyone
If they were in my fruit bowl they would last only a few days.
