Unless you save the bbc charts onto your hard drive or cut out the charts from the newspapers, forget it.
a few years ago, there was a site that did provide all the Uk Top40 music single charts, it was a music collectors dream as you could every top40 music chart (1980-2000), week by week, but the new governing body that controls the music charts now, made the poor chap who had spent many many hours puting it all together, take it off the net with some pathetic legal jargon about Copyright Issues.
Even though, I was one off the lucky ones to have had access to these charts (which I still have) I found it unbelievable that a music chart that is shown on the Official BBC Radio1 website and can be accessed for free, not to mention, is openly printed in Every main Newspaper every week too, is resticted to access after it becomes 1 week old.
How sad is that. It seems a great shame that all us music collectors who have spent huge amounts on Cd's and vinyl records, cannot have access to the charts that influenced us to buy the music in the first place.
Hopefully, restrictions on these charts may be relaxed by the Uk Charts Compnay in the near future and allow everybody to acess them for free, but then, we can live in hope, cos that's all it is :O(
