While i am on a roll. Why is my kindle fire taking so long to charge? From 4% to 100% in well over 12hrs.

Are you using the one supplied or another. The one supplied shouldn't take twelve hours anyway, but you can buy faster chargers from Amazon. Mine is a couple of hours.

Is it the original lead?

An inferior lead can have less current-carrying capacity, slowing the rate of charging.
