Contact Lens Wearers
7 Answers
I have put this into Chatterbank, as I am not sure where else to post it.
I have recently changed over to wearing daily disposals. I have used monthlies for many years but thought I might give these others a try. For a months supply, they were only £12:00.
How are other "daily" people finding them...is there any long-term problems for instance ?

I now use daily contacts for swimming which I do 3 times a week and socially. I buy mine from Contacts uk and I am trying their own make 'crystal hydro dailies' and at £9 per box of 30 they are half the price of the accuvue ones and just as good if not better.
hi mikey,i've worn monthlies for 10 years now "air optics-night and day" from tesco opticians my eye health is top notch being checked every 6 months i'm not going daily as its more of a hassle and as far as i can see introducing more chance of eye infection through daily inserts even if you have of course washed you hands,so staying put.look forward to seeing other replies on this
Ivor....I wanted to try extended wear lenses but my optician reckoned that it would very detrimental to my eye health. Apparently my eyes need lots of oxygen.
I am on my 3rd day of these daily disposals and everything if fine so far.
just2retro....I have googled "Contacts uk" but can't find it............is that its full name ?

I used to wear contact lenses but as I don't need correction to read, it was awkward. I never had problems with them, at one point I was advised to wear one which allowed me to read out of the uncorrected eye! The lack of having to soak them and so on was a boon, I used to hate doing that. I always had a few spares so that if I had to I could replace them during the day. A fresh lens every day is preferable to getting to the end of the life of other lenses. Give it a go, nothing to lose, you could still go back.
