I have just quickly counted. I have over 900 physical books. Complete waste of space. I did get rid of a load last time I moved house, but it crept up again.
the councl's closed half our lbraries, atalanta, and the remaining ones don't seem to have any of the books I own. Plus I want to hang on to them and refer to them over the years, not send them back after a fortnight.
About a hundred, mostly reference. I tend to read fiction once only so get them all from the library, am lucky that I can still go to an online catalogue and get what want delivered to my library for free - used to be 25p!
Not quite sure at the moment. I gave over 400 to a worthwhile animal charity in France after moving in with OH. Then approx. another 300 went when we were packing to move to UK. I am still vaguely wandering amongst the remainder wondering where 'whatever' is. Probably got only just over 150 at the moment - but number is growing!
I'm guessing around 800 in my flat. That includes a number of packed carrier bags in the spare room, ready for any charity that might have them. I'd have more if I didn't have a kindle...there's about 300 on there.
I'd also have more if I didn't exercise some self restraint...
Not counting reference books, about 100, if you'd asked me this time last year I wouldn't have liked to have guessed but Trish made me have a clear out so we could have some room in the bungalow to sit down.
Gizillions. I can't sell or give any away, same with records and videos. I found out early on, as soon as I let one go
I want to watch / read / listen to it again.
far too many..every nook and cranny..attic..gardening books..novels..reference...cookery books...must start reading more and get rid, but just can't find the time....
I used to keep almost every book I ever bought, but I moved home last year and took the opportunity to blitz the heaving shelves, keeping only my favourite novels and, of course, my enormous stash of reference books - which I couldn’t do without. I get rid of read novels straightaway now. I can't see the point of keeping books that I'm never going to read again.
