I will repeat this just in case you didn't quite understand, GO TO A FIRE STATION IMMEDIATELY AND GET IT CUT OFF, DO NOT WAIT FOR THE SWELLING TO GO DOWN. IT WILL PROBABLY GET WORSE.
Thank you so much to all that replied to my post.
I went to A & E this as the swelling got worse so I took Gazzawazza the firemans advice also.
They did cut my ring off and x-rayed my hand, luckily i've not broken any bones or fractured anything.
Doc Steve you were right, my blood supply was restricted. The only thing I have is heavy bruising which is really painful. Arm is now in a sling to reduce the swelling. They advised me to take anti-inflam tablets. I took my ring into the jewellers this morning to be repaired.
Hopefully i'll get back to fixing my fence and be a little more careful next time.
Thanks very much to all.
