Blooming Bin Men!!! Grrrr
35 Answers
Our collection day is Fridays(today) yet they repeatedly come and drag the big black bin out and empty it on a Thursday, before it's been filled properly. And today I still have to put out the blue recycling boxes and food waste bin . Yesterday morning I went out for 2 hours. Next to the black bin was a 5 litre tin of white paint, with only about an inch used, ready to go to the recycling depot up the road once I'd worked out what to put it in. I get bk 2 hours later and the bin men have yet again come up my drive to grab the black bin a day early, but they have also knocked over the tin of paint which has spilt everywhere - and just left it!! I rang the council who said they would send someone to clean it up - nobody bothered to turn up. I've just rang again and they say I didn't call yesterday!! God knows how I'm going to clean it up!

Once again, nasty chemicals, consider replacing gravel.
Or have it turned over to hide the painted bits.
Put your fighting mitts on and go for the local councils jugular.
Fingers crossed. xx

The only 'evidence' is that Smow went out for 2 hours and when she got back the bins had been emptied and the paint had been knocked over. Nothing to prove the two events were linked. No council is going to pay up on that 'evidence' ! . Sorry Smow, but you can't say you 'know' it was the binmen if you were not even in the area!
What if the council say they have spoken to the men involved and they say either, they know nothing about it, or that the paint was already spilled when they picked up the bag?
