A quick look at Mysupermarket.co.uk seems to suggest that there's only one major retailer currently offering them for sale: http://tinyurl.com/jjrsta7

Thanks,I might grab a pack tomorrow, when passing.
Have you tried making your own, Chip?

No I haven't Tilly , I'm more of a bung it in the oven kinda guy.
ok, Chip. Enjoy your Sainsbury's crab cakes.

P.S. They are rather small.
They are so easy to make, mashed potato ( no butter or milk, just mashed potato), tin of crab meat (well drained), pepper and a teaspoon of Boullion stock powder, sprinkle of dried chives, no problem if you haven't got chives, ( no salt required), mix this all together and cool in fridge for a few hours, shape into small patties, then dip in flour, egg mix and golden breadcrumbs (available in supermarkets) then gently fry for 10 minutes or so on medium heat, either side until golden brown. Get yourself a bottle of chillie sauce and use this to dip your crab cakes in .... lovely!! With cooking, its all about trial and error ..... it may not work first time but keep trying. Good luck.
I can't recommend this Rick Stein recipe enough.....bloody scrumptious !

agree with mikey - shame he doesn't sell them in his outlets down here....he's never had a michelin star, you know....his protegés have though....
That sounds nice, Mikey, but where do the French Green Beans come into play??
I can recall him doing this recipe on the TV a few years ago NoMercy.

He cuts them into little rings and just mixes them up with the fish. They help to give the fish cakes a nice crunch.

I warn anybody who tries this recipe though.....they are seriously yummy and very addictive !

I opted for the shop bought ones, and to be honest I couldn't fault them.
A good size too, I thought!
