Thanks guys. I'm watching paralympics and when our swimmers broke the world record in the heats the results came up with WR but not OR or NR. The commentators didn't even say they'd broken the other records.
I'd have thought that they feel that it goes without saying that in an Olympic event a World Record is also an Olympic Record, a national record, a continental record and a personal best.
As F-F states, it's automatic that all other records are broken when a new world record is set. (The only exception might be if, for example, athletics bodies at different levels within the sport had different criteria relating to wind-assisted races, so that one body accepted a wind-assisted time as a a new record where another didn't).
