Apparently, the employer pays so much, and the employee pays, along with a donation from the Government.
My carer asked me today about this, as she heard that it started in 20016, but her employer told her it was 2017.

One of my employers doesn't offer it either yet- when i queried it I was told they were exempt as they were deemed to be a new company (which was a fudge as I'd been with them a long time but they had changed their name ever so slightly at one point and say that they had been dissolved and relaunched or something.)
