My Picture Folders

I have just discovered that ALL my photos have been sitched to a PHOTOS Format from whatever the old one was a jpg format I think. The whole background in every picture is BLACK. Even when I checked with a old USB stick that I had not used for a long time. The only file that seems to have not been changed luckily is my Family Tree thankfully. Is there something I can do to change back so they all open with a jpg format. I have a ASUS computer and am using Windows 10. Thanks for ANY help in advance remembering I'm a very bad Silver Surfer.

Have you upgraded to 10 or was it installed from new? If you've upgraded, it's a lot easier.

My coputer is a new one bought earlier this year and came with Windows 10 installed. This must be a fairly new App as my photos appeared as normal not too long ago. If I get rid of this App will everything revert to as it was because it makes the pictures look awful.
