I' ve been looking at joining the fire service, and have been told that there is a height limit. Is this true? I can' t find any info to support this on the net. thanks xx

oops, i mean that you need to be a certain height to join. Is this true??

Height no longer forms part of the entry requirements for the UK Fire Service.

If memory serves me, I believe this is a result of a female applicant successfully citing Sexual Discrimination legislation after being disqualified, even though she was not tall enough to use various items of equipment necessary in the course of her duty.
