It's been doing this for a few weeks now. It will suddenly start really burning and stinging - it really hurts! Then after ten mins or so it just stops.its not swollen, or red, and doesn't hurt to touch. Someone suggested gout but it doesn't fit the description at all. It's a toe I broke 10 yrs ago but has never done this before. Any ideas??

Will ring doctor tomorrow. Just feel a bit daft as it looks perfectly fine. Like I said the only thing is that it happens to be the toe that I did a 'David Beckham' on 10 years ago and broke the metartarsal .
