Monday. Back to whatever passes for normal. Apart from the dinner Friday evening it was a great weekend. Sadly, it was the last one. The organisers have decided to call it a day. It is almost a full time job and they want so e time for themselves. Can't argue with that.

Lots of running around to do today.

Have a happy day everyone.

Wow! That's interesting. How does one greet them? "Glad you made it" Yes I suppose it does have a lot of history, not forgetting Sir Francis Drake!

Have a good'un DT.

patsy the plaque did mention the name of the ship that rescued them, but I can't remember it. :o{

They only stayed one night.

Plymouth is also where Nelson's body was brought back to Britain, pickled in a barrel of brandy.
Morning All !

It didn't sound too bad a weekend Boaty, although that first nights dinner would have annoyed me. My best guess is that the chef was off that night, and whoever he left in charge just wasn't up to the task. In the days of the internet, like Trip Adviser, its a brave Hotel that leaves itself open to criticism !

Its looks as if the weather has changed, just in time for Half Term....bloody typical !
They must be getting on s bit! Hope rain clears up, have to go to local hospital for X ray on my foot later. Don't think anything broken just painful to walk on. Although a bit better.

Morning mikey. I agree with you. But in a hotel of that standard it shouldn't have happened.

patsy I hope all goes well and the xray shows the problem.
Boaty....but it was Penzance that the news of Trafalgar and the death of Nelson was first heard. Apparently the whole country went into mourning, in a way that probably has never been seen since. The man was worshipped !
Question Author
That's correct mikey. He was the saviour of the nation.
Thanks Boaty. Hope your day goes well and you get all that washing done! :-)
