Excerpts from today's Mail
1.A demand for Brexiters to face criminal charges for 'misleading' voters during the EU referendum is being considered by prosecutors. An academic submitted a complaint accusing the group's Vote Leave and \leave EU of breaking electoral law by making untrue claims.
2.The academic is not proposing action against Remain campaigners despite the claims made by ex-chancellor George Osborne and others as part of so called Project Fear.
How much more desperate can these Remaniacs get?

If the law was broken by the Leave campaign, then if they are subsuquently prosecuted, that is their own fault. If there is a case to answer for the Stay campaign, then it is up to someone to propose it.

It may be that both sides broke electoral law. We should not ignore unlawful electioneering merely because we agree with the final result.
Maybe someone should start a like for like campaign.

For every item that's comes up about remain trying to stop, derail or frustrate Bretix. Bretix should counter with something.

Perhaps someone should think about some sort of civil case at the remain camp for not thinking about and sorting the legal implications before the vote and not waiting till after to start it.
Politicians on all sides massage the truth. The real truth is no one knows where Brexit will ultimately lead but I, for one, think we will be better and stronger as a country outside the EU
They are heading for riots in the streets.

It will happen if they carry on this way.
Youngmafbog as Madame Lafarge
the memorable firebrand in Dicken's Tale of Two Cities....

[ yeah yeah YMF you gonna ask " Tale of two whatties " ? or even " Tale of two totties " ? ]

the real Brexit news is that Mrs Em is considering a one line bill in parliament ( that is the thing you call an act before it is an act ) about Brexit.
This rather implies that those in the Cabinet who can read ( like top totty Old Etonian Boris Heart throb ) have read the high court judgement and thought " oo-er the judges have got the law right first time round ..." which is kinda what judges are paid to do
PMSL! what was misleading? if anything the remainiacs' project fear has actually been shown to have been misleading.
well, start your own action against Remainers if you want. Why grumble that someone else isn't doing someting when you could do it yourself? That's not the spirit that will make Brexited Britain great again!
In fact I think the remainiacs actually helped brexit with their ever more fanciful scare tactics. Then there was the attempted bullying by the US. At work our CEO all but ordered us to vote remain. Those things produced millions of brexit votes. The British always reject bully boy tactics. So if they want to persue this monumental silliness they should look a bit closer to home.
TTT - I am intrigued how your CEO communicated his personal wishes on the vote to his workforce.

Surely attempting to influence due democratic process in this way is workplace bullying - did no-one challenge him about his behaviour?
Surely the CEO was breaking the law ?
well he didn't say it in so many words but we had several debates where both sides were remainics. The chancellor was also invited to threaten us. We were also told that our site would probably be closed if we left the EU, thus threatening jobs etc. We also had company propaganda during the period leading up to the vote. The Company's position was made pretty clear. Guess what? Literally the day after, they backtracked on all the above.
Right. So a wee bit of exaggeration there ttt?
not at all. Of course he didn't stand up and directly order us to vote remain. How naive are you? Does the litany of events above not show you how it was in my company? How can you have a "debate" when both sides are remain? we did. We also had Gideon actually on site telling us he would raise NI etc like he did on prime time TV. We have TV's down both sides of the office showing propaganda. Exaggerate? anything but anne, anything but.
What TTT describes happened in quite a fe US Banks. They didnt all have Gideon but they had someone else.

Yes it is workplace bullying, there is also widespread discrimination unless you are blank, hispanic, gay or a woman. A certain CEO appeared on an internal tv saying he could do better with young people rather than older. The middle aged white male is not welcome. Pity said COE doesnt look at his board though.
It is good that there is the facility to explore legal but surely similar mistruths were given by both sides, although i can see there is no point in the winners (Leave) pursuing it. All governments break electoral promises but nothing would ever get done if legal challenges could be made declaring election results void.
But some remainiacs do feel strongly that a mistake has been made and it is understandable some would try any legal means to get a review and give people a chance to think again now they can see how complex Brexit actually is. I am sure Leave wouldn't have given up if Remain had won narrowly just as SNP haven't given up on independence despite losing the last vote
Elections and electoral campaigns in this country could do with a far better standard of accuracy and honesty -- but I'm not sure that pursuing cases like this in the courts will achieve much. The official Leave campaigns lied, or at least made highly misleading statements. The official Remain campaigns no doubt did the same. That shouldn't be acceptable regardless of what side of the debate you are on.

andy-hughes, //TTT - I am intrigued how your CEO communicated his personal wishes on the vote to his workforce.//

I know several business leaders who did that. Likewise when Brexit won, some City companies told their staff it was 'business as usual'.
Given that in my experience it was the remain party that spread all the fear lies and pretence of promises of £350M to the NHS, I would suggest that if anyone is prosecuted it is the those who actually mislead and obviously intentionally so, not those who were basically just informing.
