Is it because by drawing battle lines between (cough cough) 'the metroplitan elite' and the rest of the country, it simplifies the narrative?
And are 'sneering remainers' the equal and opposite of 'self-righteous leavers'?
But leaving all those questions aside, the report proves what a disaster parts of Article 45 are.
It's simply badly thought out.
The principle is sound, but it lacks any kind of common sense. Free movement for skilled workers who have jobs to go to is no bad thing...but not for people who are going to claim benefits or who do not offer something tangible to their host nation.
