Strictly Xmas Special

I have loved Strictly since it began, but the recent series was clearly fixed and the marking by the judges on this Xmas special is totally stupid. I know it's entertainment, but don't you think Strictly is a joke now?

Love Strictly but agree about the Xmas Special no way was Melvin the best he won to compensate him for the earlier fracas with Anastasia and the no dance off !!

The problems with the programme which make believe it is fixed are,as I see it,the following.1) The voting is not transparent therefore any two couples could be in the dance off.2) You had a situation where two of the finalists were the head judges god children (the Cliftons). This should not be allowed to happen as favouritism can be cited against the Judges even if not true.3)Ed Balls was probably kept on an artifically long time to beat X factor in the ratings war.
Bur Ed Balls always came bottom in the judges' vote so must have been extremely popular with the voting public- unless of course you believe/know the public vote was rigged despite the independent check.
No-one has explained yet how the vote was fixed on Sunday so that Melvin won or given a convincing reason why the BBC would want to risk its reputation (further?) by fixing it just so Melvin would win- why would that be in their interests?

Have only just watched it, but thought Melvin's dance was considerably better than anything he performed in the live shows. The problem with the Christmas show is it's always very dependent on the one dance they get to perform (i.e. can't ever see anyone winning this with a cha-cha). Len's marking was, I agree, dreadful.
