Looking back 8 years, there will have been Republicans who didn't like Obama. Would they have ben allowed to boycott the Inauguration without the r-card being played? I don't like Trump but he's been elected and at least the Office of POTUS needs to be respected. The verb trump has certainly made it across the pond, I've made sure of it! I amused and annoyed my fellow tourists in equal numbers at Easter.
Just seen on ITV news, the waxwork of Trump has just been revealed to the press photographer's at Madame Tussauds, opening to public tomorrow. It's very good and detailed.
Apparently they used Yaks hair to painstakingly recreate his dead ginger moggy on his head.....explains everything.
The question that remains is whether the waxwork will be attacked by some anti Trump protesters. No security being put out....just MT staff keeping an eye.

The Democrats seem to have a history of discourtesy, disrespect for the constitutional process, and mardy sulking.
80 of them boycotted Nixon's inauguration.
John Lewis, who is leading the boycott, also boycotted George Bush's inauguration.
So Democrats boycotting an inauguration? It's just a case of ...
Yeah, yeah, yeah ... same old, same old ... and a big YAWN!!

I can only repeat my earlier point - boycotting the ceremony is not an appropriate way to protest about Mr Trump's election.
I believe in appropriate deference to the tradition and the office, even if that does not extend to the incumbent.
There will be limitless opportunities to cross swords with Mr Trump using due democratic process - starting bright and early on Monday morning.
