I am beginning to find it a bit boring. I prefered the previous series when they went to different countries and discovered how retirees lived there. This series is more about their individual ailments. What do you think ?

Often the way. A good programme doesn't always warrent a second series with another set of aged celebs. Once was enough for me, but I did glance at this lot this week and turned off again very quickly. It was the Lionel Blair belly moment! OMG?

Oh yes Maydup. That was not a pretty sight, and after he confessed to the Auve (whatever) doc what he ate, I am not as surprised as he is with the size of his belly.
Agree - although entertainment 'stars' seem to be of the opinion us mortals are interested in the inner workings of their anatomy. Maybe they have a point as there seems to be social media following of the most boring aspects of their lives.
I thought that the retirees stayed in Jaipur in the last series. I don't remember anything about them travelling around the world
Im enjoying this one more, although i havent seen one where they travel around the world either. And dont forget that aches and pains are a big part of old peoples lives, so naturally they would look for cures. Yes Lionel's tummy is awful but he reckons its to do with the prostate cancer he had. I find Shiela Fergusson annoying as she is so over the top.
I would like to know how some of them actually managed to obtain travel insurance at their age
...they didn't travel the world and visit different countries.
The first series (a four-parter) was all in India. The same group followed up with a one-off prog to the USA....that's it. This new group is doing a four-parter to a different part of India...I think that they are just as entertaining as the original group.
The first series was far superior, I couldn't spend an hour with Lionel Blair. He'd drive me crazy ;:(
Shortly before Christmas, there were two programmes of four celebrities (not the whole group from the first series) where they stayed in two places in Florida and then in Japan.
I loved it. I do want to go to India,
Thanksbut it's never going to happen. I feel really drawn to the country.
