Beware of rouge traders
Doorstep visitors or phone calls claiming they want to make an appointment to install a smart meter are likely to be a rouge trader trying to scam you.
Your energy supplier will contact you directly about smart meters
It will always be your energy supplier that will come to your house to change your meter.

Rouge traders? Can you spot them because they're wearing too much make-up? :)

We live in a very rural area,and therefore no reception.The engineer likened it to the energy companies being forced into installing the meters,before reception is generally available.I checked with EDF,and they were very apologetic;but couldn't say when our meter would function properly.

one was over 40k, the things are infallible i guess.

this was installed by edf energy, No one can or should be able to get into our block without an appointment.
