Hi Pooing, other wireless user can not see what you are doing! they can browse any shared resources if your current security settings allow it, by default most wireless routers have incoming connections blocked by default, other wireless user will be able to tap into your internet connection though piggy backing your internet connection.
The most secure protocol for wireless networking is called WPA-PSK (wifi protected access- pre shared key) this should be in your routers options which you normally get to by entering an ip address eg: 192.168.0.1 into your browser, these instructions should be in the instructions.

Also, apart from enabling encryption, you can turn off the SSID (network name) broadcast, reduce the number of available DHCP addresses, disable remote/wireless configuration of the router.
Activate the MAC filter, by noting the MAC address of your wireless adapter, typically, click start, run then type cmd.
At the prompt type "ipconfig /all" - without the quotes, look for the entry for your wireless adapter and look for physical address, enter this into the MAC filter and only this adapter will be allowed wireless access.
