I'm going to have my first tattoo on the outside edge of my upper thigh,about where my palm lands if I put my arms at my side. Can anyone tell me in real terms how painfull this is going to be,can you liken it to anything else that I would know so that I'm prepared please

it's impossible to give a helpful answer when someone asks how painful something is going to be, everyone's pain threshhold is different

that's why he asked respondents to liken it to something else. He didn't ask for opinions on whether to have one or not. People should get off their high horses once in a while.

Ive always described the pain as quite tolerable but uncomfortable, however, a large tattoo or a long sitting can get quite painful as the pain wears you down. If it gets painful after a while, you can ask for another sitting to finish it or to have it done over several sittings depending how big it is.
