Why Do Some Users Avatar Keep On Disappearing

Has happened to me before. My avatar would appear in the latest posts box but against my answer would be the jellymen.

my little nelly has vanished and my son is away for a few weeks so will have to wait for his return x

A bit unnerving, as when your avatar suddenly disappears you think you've been suspended.

they are back, it might be firefox, as it just crashed, again....

not only that, some have the jelly people, ones who had an avatar before, strange..

Mine rarely, if ever, appears in the answer box when I'm replying to a post and very rarely in the latest posts box. It's ok and visibly when I look back at posts I've contributed to.

I think it's a glitch in AB, as I've checked the Gravatar site. :(

Our avatars come from a service called "Gravatar" which is run by the same people as Wordpress - sometimes they have a blip, and we have to share it.

Nothing to worry about :)

I know what's causing it as it happened to me.

The new site requires a lot more scrolling, and in doing so you accidentally hit the deactivate avatar button. You still see it in your profile and answer box, but it doesn't appear with your answers.

The whole site crashes quite often on my windows I phone, especially when the thread I'm looking at has lots of youtube links on it.

mine has been crashing lately, not sure if its a firefox problem or not.
