Trade Unions Strikes

Is it me or do trade unions only seem to go on strike now when its a bank holiday (usually the underground/railways), summer (baggage handlers at airports) or in this case whilst the football is on (asdas).

Well I guess it's a good time to choose.

These are the times when the greatest pressure is on companies to cover people on holiday.

It's when they'll have the greatest impact.

The lecturers finally got a decent increase by threatening action on exam papers - Strangely they didn't threaten to strike over the Christmas break so as to minimise the impact - can't imagine why

I agree with Jake. It`s the best time where airports ,rail,underground are concerned as it causes chaos.

On the other hand it means those not on the picket line have a nice beak from work when they might not have got one with without a strike.

I'm sure it'll upset asdas not being able to stock their shelves but you're hardly going to get the public up in arms about it.
