Is it time that American traffic police in all states be compelled to wear bodycams?

At least that way, the 'rogue element' would be forced to think twice before stamping on the heads of those that they have pulled over.

The officer looks normal and the arrested guy looks like a thug. Before bodycams the result would have been different

At least they didn't shoot him.
Two Police officers fired, they must think very little of their job.
that's the art of photography, wolf. How to make cops look good and arrestees look bad.

Remember Winston Silcott?

How to make him look like a gorilla? They hald his arms out straight and then dropped then, clicking the shutter when they were halfway down. Job done!
I don't think the Police Officer looks good as he punches the guy in the face even though he has his arms raised high.

They don't have bodycams. My point is - if they did, they wouldn't have assaulted him at all.

Or maybe, the likelihood of an assault would have been considerably reduced.
Its bad, but I have seen a lot worse on F/B and You-tube, mostly blacks.

I cant understand why the police keep doing it, as everybody seems to have camera phones these days.
// The officer looks normal and the arrested guy looks like a thug. Before bodycams the result would have been different //

interesting use of the word result - the fella still got stomped on

Years ago just as taped interviews came in - there was a rash of confessions in police cars - no tape see ?
so the men are now 'forgetting' to turn on their viddies
but the difference is - that passersby arent.
So instead of having no evidence.....
you have evidence against
Police coping badly with this development

as happened with Mark Duggan - so the policeman ( anonymised as oo-er 49) gave evidence - " I concentrated on the gun in his hand" - hold it ( pun intended) - there was nt one in his hand.
In law - you cant know something if erm it doesnt exist or isnt the case - you can know something if it is true.

even as late as 2015 - I mentioned I had viddied/photgraphed a scene with police in it - and s/o said - oh they wont like that! they will be after you for the evidence - and I said er I didnt tell them....
Wouldn't have even been reported on had he been white.
Sad.
