The most common cause of 'not responding' messages with Firefox (by far) is actually nothing to do with Firefox (or even with AB). It happens when something else on a computer (which is nearly always an anti-virus program) hogs most of a computer's resources, leaving insufficient for Firefox to handle a data-rich website like AB.
So which anti-virus program are you using?

Kaspersky used to be the best of the 'paid for' anti-virus programs but recently it's been reported that it's now slowing many computers down quite a bit.
Try turning Kaspersky off and seeing if there's any improvement when you use Firefox to view AB. (Don't worry. It's perfectly safe to turn your anti-virus program off for a short while as long as you only visit safe sites). Go to Kasperky's settings panel, click 'Protection' (marked '1' in the image) and turn off the switch at the top right (marked '2'):

(NB: Remember to turn it back on after you've tried AB with Firefox!)
If turning off Kaspersky improves things you'll need to consider using a different anti-virus program (such as Avast). If it doesn't, it might be worth trying to reset Firefox to its default settings. (Instructions available on request).

There are various reasons for happening this. You can try these methods below
Method 1: Multiple copies of Firefox’s Session Restore may also cause Not Responding error. You have to delete duplicated Session Restore files. Go to Firefox tab > Help > Troubleshooting Information > under Application Basics section, click Show Folder > exit Firefox > delete sessionstore.js and some of its duplicated file from the folder.
Method 2: Reset to its factory default settings. Open Firefox > click on Firefox tab on the upper left > click Help and select Troubleshooting Information > click Reset Firefox > click Reset Firefox on the confirmation dialogue box to continue > click finish to restart Firefox
If this error still persists, why do you use google chrome. Chrome has many adds on.
