Please smile mikey because I am not having a dig at you. It will be of interest to you that until a few years back I was a Labour devotee; having been brought up as such. Keep it a secret ...My Grandfather was the Mayor of Swansea in 1936. and I lived for 12 months in the Mansion house, Ffynone.

Hans....I have done some research on former Mayors of Swansea, for the period that you mention, and have narrowed your Granddad down to one of 2 people......but I am not sure it is wise to post the names on this open forum !

In the late 70's, my Union Chairman, and a local Councillor, was Mayor....can't remember which year though. And we were invited to dinner at the Mansion House....what a lovely old building !

You may be interested to now that, although you have changed your allegiance, Swansea has not ! :::::
