I would not for one moment wish the dreadful circumstances that caused the absence of Zoe Ball from the radio yesterday, but it was a pleasure to hear Kate Thornton.

She actually talks like an grown-up, and not like a breathless over-enthusiastic work experience student with a Travis/Keane/ Coldplay obsession like Ms. Ball and the dreadful Jo Whiley.

Maybe we could have more people who realise that they are no longer talking to the Radio One demographic which ends at twenty-five, and who can address their audience like the adults they are.

Oh what happened to Zoe Ball?
Here you go, Georgiesmum.

Georgiesmum - tragically, her boyfriend died yesterday - believed to be suicide, so unsurprisingly, she was absent from her radio show.
Andy, I'm curious to know which of your heroes you have met, and which you haven't yet met....

veronk - I have met Phil Collins, Boy George, and Paul Weller face to face (he was rude to me!)

I have met by phone - Taj Mahal, Todd Rundgren, Walter Becker, and Johnny Winter.

I would love to meet Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richard, Paul McCartney, and I would love to have met John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, and Brian Jones.
I'd also like to meet McCartney and Springsteen, and above all Bob Dylan though I fear he'd be disappointing. Seen all three in concert
