Connecting Wifi On New Phone

My new phone is a alcatel pop 4.when I try to connect Wi-Fi. I get authentication problem. I am with sky and after entering my password it comes up Saved but then I get authentication problem over again. thanks for any advice. Georgic.

Are you sure you are entering the correct password. Note they are case sensitive. Make sure you are connecting to YOUR router.

Have you another device (tablet, another phone) where you can check if the password is correct and still working.
