Roy Wood and ELO.

Please help settle an arguement.
I am sure Roy Wood was an original member of ELO, a friend - who says he is an ELO expert - insists he was never with the group.
I seem to remember that Sharon Osborne's dad, Don Arden, split up the original line-up to form 2 groups.
Can anyone enlighten me?

He was a founder member of ELO so you sre correct.

Don Arden did manage ELO and Black Sabbeth.
