Just felt a need to have a good stretch , while sitting in my chair .
Sometimes , I will take a sharp intake of breadth .
We all do the above , so i was wondering , is there a reason for it from a medical aspect .
When food goes down the wrong 'hole' the body immediately reacts , by scooping it back up , hence the spluttering and coughing - given that it is not good for food and drink to enter the lungs .
So is the body doing something that is required , by stretching and taking a sharp intake of breadth ?
possibly to redistribute the surfactant that keeps all the liddle alveoli open ( under standard physical principles the smallest should empty into the largest)
for patients on ventilators in hospital - some machines have it built in
