Hummingbird Moth

I had a hummingbird bird moth in my garden yesterday, in Burnley.
Do they normally come so far north or is the heatwave we are having.

I think the recent heatwave may have a lot to do with it.
I've only seen them a couple of times during really hot summers.
Wonderful things to watch, so I'm on the lookout now.

We had them every Summer when I was in France, but I'd never seen them before. They were always on my
lavender hedge, so I'll look for them now. Thanks.
