The drencher in my shower has started to drip cold water when the shower is in use which should not happen as the control is set to shower not drencher. This is a bit uncomfortable during a shower and it only happens when the shower is in operation. Any ideas please as to the reason for this?

No real idea. Do wonder if the head/tube needs clearing of limscale. Water should mix not stay separate and drip at the back.
Limescale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks Old geezer for your suggestion. It's fairly new and limescale is not the problem. Methinks there are gremlins at work!
I'm guessing you have a normal shower head and hose, and an additional overhead drencher?

If so, then it can only be a faulty valve, or maybe even a bit of dirt preventing the drench from shutting off properly.

Discuss it with the manufacturers. The good makes usually have pretty good customer service.
Try routinely running it as a drencher for a few seconds at the start of each shower - until warm water comes through.

I had a similar issue which seemed to be caused because I rarely used the drencher and something had dried out somewhere in the system, allowing a small leak into the drencher when the shower head was being used. This has been completely cured by the method I suggest above.

Thanks a lot Builder and Sunny-Dave, they sound like sensible suggestions. Will act on both.
