I had the misfortune to see part of this programme when surfing through the channels for something decent to watch.

In my opinion, this is one of the most horrific things I've ever seen. Talk about cruelty to children. Those parents should be ashamed.

I haven't seen it but I suspect it's about beauty pageants, is it?

Yes it is. Poor little girls, some of them under two, are made to parade with full make-up, hairpieces to make their own hair look fuller, ridiculous dresses and shoes. They often have to pout and assume unnatural poses for the cameras. Their parents, usually the mothers, behave badly in the wings while all this rubbish is going on. These poor little kids travel miles and miles to compete in these so-called pageants.

That's (some) Americans for you. Series has been cancelled. Lots of controversy. So now it continues without you being reminded.

So sad, children should definitely be allowed to be children and not miniature grown ups !!
