I think ellena just means the infil piece between the window frame and the arched brick lintol. If so, yes, they will replace this. Would be daft to leave a piece of material which could rot.

I think if you call it a curved head Eleena you will always find the reference that you need. Above a door they were called a "fanlight" but I can't recall any specific name other than a curved or arched head when it comes to windows.

Zacs, thank you that is it! They removed them then put them back. I've just re-read my quote. Supply and fit 11 new upvc Windows, styles as survey. I 'verbally' mentioned these infidels and thought they would be replaced, never having had replacement Windows before, I assumed they were part and parcel of the window. I need to question this when they return today.

I assume the in-fils are not as big as those in Zac's pic ... they will shape a piece to fit out of some plastic moulding.

I reckon they are Talbot. There's still a few pieces of plastic moulding in the garden, but none big enough I would have thought. The lads asked me to go round and check each window today so I'm satisfied. This is really the only thing I'm concerned about. I would have thought this would automatically be classed as part of the window, though never having bought them before.
