Hello. I'm a poor full time worker that will never have a chance on going on the property ladder.
Does anyone here know of a list or a register that I can join to beg for a house.
And no, housing association's prices are also too high for me...the last I got I needed to have a 125,000 mortage - no banks will lend that to me cos somehow I don't think that any employer would pay 46,000 for a clerical assistant.
I also need help in getting a tv so again, if any of you know of a begging site please let me know!

as far as your need for a tv is concerned - put an advert in your local newsagents asking for one. there must be lots of people who would be glad to get rid of a surplus portable - me for one ! or try a car boot sale.
good luck !
he went through an independent broker and i think it is Northern Rock - they seem to have the monopoly on first time mortgages. but it is a buyers market and what the broker said to my son was, work out how much all your monthly bills would be if you bought a house/flat, deduct it from your monthly income and then decide what would be the maximum you could afford for a mortgage. thats what my son did , and they tailored the mortgage to suit him.
he even managed to borrow a few grand extra to pay his car off and free up 140 a month for HP!
If you live in the west mids i could put you in touch. let me know.
Thank you silverdale.
Unfortunately, and I mean that, I don't live in midlands. Lovely area, used to visit friends there.
I will get in touch through their website though.
Once again many thanks for your help. Will post another answer here if I manage to buy a house of my own so to let you know!
Cheers
