No..... Let's not compare it with other things, let's celebrate the fact that Australia has said that it will allow committed same-sex couples to marry. A very good day, indeed.

JTH...ah! thank you....yes that is true.
"Lesbians are quite capable of having sex with a man.....any man."
True.....you mean a sort of "convenient" sexual infidelity? Yes...
To be quite honest, I couldn't care less about the argument, my original post was to highlight the vagaries of AB debate with the same old antagonists and protagonists performing with the same old arguments.

Are people really still objecting to this on the grounds that "if everyone were homosexual, we couldn't reproduce?"
This would of course make sense if we were being confronted with that problem - i.e. everyone becoming homosexual. But that manifestly isn't the case. Nor is there any evidence that more acceptance of homosexuality "turns" people who weren't already gay. It's a minority of adults who fall in love with people of the same sex, and always will be. All this utterly superficial pontificating about the "natural order" or "survival of the species" is just paper-thin excuses for the fact that people just find homosexuality icky. Which is completely irrelevant to a conversation about rights.
