When I set to record a programme on Sky+ the recording fails and if I go to that channel a notice comes up saying "No satellite signal is being received". All the other channels are fine and when I cancel the record button, that channel is OK again. Before I make the dreaded phone call, has anyone else had this problem, please? Any help would be appreciated.

hi sixpence yes i had a similar problem whereby my sky+ would say ''no satellite signal being received'' at the same time everyday, skys explanation was that it was something happening outside my house affecting my signal for example a car alarm, cordless phones, wi-fi internet etc etc, after I spoke to them the problem went away, a bit weird I reckon, not much help but its best to ring them everytime.

Thanks, mullykid. I have been away for a week, so haven't had to worry about it, but I guess you are right. A phone call is needed.
