REPOST (Same meaning as riposte) = S(t)op uprising in RET(urn) goes in a column above the bolt, giving two new words meaning rest and stand. The T of Stop going in the middle row as per preamble.

I think I can parse all of the answers, but the middle row and poem are escaping me, although the last 8 letters of the middle row could very easily accommodate a poet.

I was away and am back.

I now have the poet and the poem (8,3,3). Poet is the second word in the middle row. Go to wiki for the poet and you will see the poem.

Yes Turast ... the last 8 letters do give the poet , then google him with the 1st 5 letters reversed ...to get the poem 8,3,3

I think I got lost because my answer to Strain leash was stripe which I put in the second column.
It seems the correct answer is String and goes under Among.

Mong means a crowd and a mongrel.
Among means here and there.

i had stripe too at first... then realised it wouldn't fit anywhere and changed it to string!

have you tried EV this week?
