I've had an Aqualift bath thingy for nearly three years now and it's wonderful. I sit on a seat and press a button and I'm gently lowered into the bath. When I've washed myself I press another button and it lifts me up. It's battery operated and is marvellous. I don't like a shower. It was fitted easily and I feel really safe with it. I'm 77 now so I was starting to have difficulty pulling myself up out of the bath. Cost was about £1300 but it's been worth every penny.
Helly, I was offered one of those for free via GP referral to Occupational Therapy.I have never claimed any benefit in my life, but am going to get what I need now I'm old and frail ;)
