Have we been lied to?

/// Communities Secretary Sajid Javid told the Commons in February that ‘two-thirds of housing demand has nothing to do with immigration’ and was down to natural population growth. ///

Who is causing the natural population growth ? Is it the child allowance, overgenerous welfare, or previous immigrants wanting large families ? Did anyone watch Dispatches on C4 on Monday night about new affordable homes being built?
(or not) The HCA should be disbanded from the top down and decent people brought in.

There's loads of brown-belt sites if investors want to re-jig old work premises by converting them into flats.

One at least is having a good go at it.

We ought not need millions of new homes. The population ought not be growing like bacteria culture in a Petri dish. Human beings are expeceted to be more responsible. There's nowhere to put more houses save to more urban sprawl, and it is a stopgap measure to push the problem onto future generations to solve, anyway. The root causes are never tackled. We need zero immigration save for exceptional cases, and we need to dissuade folk already here from have more than 2 offspring.

Meanwhile, if the EU is such a wonderful place, maybe we can find loads of folk who want to emigrate there and solve the issue here.
expected !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don’t need to examine and argue over statistics to see the effect that immigration has had on places like London and especially some parts of the city. Just have a walk around (as I have suggested that AB-ers do whenever this question arises).

Of course Togo makes a very valid point that many people born here of immigrants are not considered immigrants themselves for statistical purposes. But their effect on the country – its infrastructure and services – is every bit as profound and is a direct result of one or both of their parents being immigrants themselves.

In 2016 almost a third of live births (29%) in England and Wales were to women born outside the UK and a recent report (which I read but cannot immediately find) suggests this has now risen to over 33%. This proportion does not include mothers who were born here of immigrant parents and their numbers must be considerable. This is despite the overall birth rate decreasing slightly by 0.2%. You don’t need to jumble numbers around too much to conclude that immigration has placed and will continue to place a huge demand on housing in the country.
What we need is someone to give a commitment, for example Mrs May, that net immigration will be brought down to the tens of thousands, instead of the present hundreds of thousands. Just before the next election would be a good time.
We are being systematically replaced, and will be a minority population in our grandchildren’s life time.
THIS WILL HAPPEN. Sorry for shouting.
But this is a good thing, David Small.

Hate crime? Get a grip man. Reality bites does it snowflake?
Don't think Dave has read any of my posts.

There ought to be an emoji saying "This is irony and I'm on your side". But there isn't. And even if there were I wouldn't use it.
Sorry v-e went right over my head. I thought that I heard a whooshing noise:)
Your earlier post was quoting a French phrase (or possibly title), by the way, Dave: le grand remplacement.
I have been banging on about immigration for years now but no MP have the balls to sort it out
Never seen so many pram pushing migrants in my town overrun with them
