A bit of fun I've done every year since the children and grandchildren were small.....and as grown ups they still enjoy it though my little gifts have had to change....
Two packs of playing cards and silly, fun little gifts wrapped......I buy bits throughout the year and raid charity shops.......I have two or three times as many gifts as guests and hide a £5 in one of the gifts....also make some gifts look really inviting and wanted.....
Best around a table.....gifts in the middle then deal out one pack of cards......you keep the other pack and start calling from it....
If a guest has say, the three of diamonds in their hand, they take a gift....and so on but the gifts will run out before the cards and that's when the fun starts.....they have to steal a gift from another guest when they hold a card that you call....
With my lot the result is lots of teasing, chasing of one interesting looking parcel or the one suspected of hiding the fiver......
Carry on till your cards are gone then sit down with a glass as they open their gifts....
I did once use, as a gift, the accidental Duck with a Dick I was sent and my brother's mother-in-law ended up with it.... :-)
