Is This Really An Extreme Haircut?

This poor little boy was banned from his school Carol Concert because his teachers allege he has an 'extreme' hairstyle. To be honest it doesn't look at all extreme to me, in fact it looks really neat and normal, any thoughts?

Of course our views on here don't mean a thing as it's unlikely the school reads/takes notice of AB unless someone wants to take up some of the points and raise them directly with the school governors.
I think now the press has got involved the school is likely to dig its heels in for this pupil and this concert but may possibly be more careful to avoid such an issue next time round

The school should be ashamed!
When I was a kid we were forced to have this kind of hair cut, we rebelled by growing it longer.
The uncool school should get real and move on with the times!
