airport parking..stansted

Have anyone got any tips for alternatives to using Stansted own car parks when leaving a car for a couple of weeks. while i take the family away on holiday in August?..even the long stay car parks seem quite expensive.

Some local hotels offer deals where you stay in a room the night before you fly, and can leave your car there for the week or two weeks.

See if you can find a hotel that offers that facility, it is often cheaper than paying the parking,

I think you should ask a friend if you can leave your car at there place for a while, if you trust them enough and they have the right insurance then they can also drive the car. Its free!!!!

Stansted is probably the worst UK airport for parking as there are no (well virtually no) off-airport independent car parks to provide competition.

There are one or two farms that will take a few cars but I hesitate to recommend them here as they may well be operating without planning permission and as it's a while since I used one they could have been closed.

You do get a small discount for booking in advance but that's about it. Your air fare was cheap anyway.
