Too obvious its the foster brother the mum is strange , that maybe a red herring though ?

That was a thought of mine tonight. But not happy with the show, Too many flash backs. Difficult to follow the sequences. Sound also is a problem.

The flashbacks were a pain - and Sarah Lancashire (who I normally admire) is struggling a bit with the accent and implausible dialogue.

I also don't understand why the grandparents weren't whisked straight into a police cell for 'questioning', when they so patently knew more than they initially told the police?

Having said that, I'd like to know whodunnit (from the various reddish herrings) and will watch next week.

Yes, beginning to think it's a red herring. Could be the foster father or did he have a convincing alibi? Don't like the flashbacks either.

I'm very behind because I forgot to record episode 1 but thanks to catch up I'm now on Episode 2, definitely think there's something odd about the step-parents.
