i had a marina coil fitted last year, since then i have put alot of weight on and i am bleeding worse than i was before that i ALSO had my lining of my womb burnt out as most of my life i have suffered painful and very heavy periods and its really get me down now is there a reason why i should be still bleeding since july last year when i have had this operation and i am in great stomach pain and i also get a burning sensation in my stomach ONLY when i bleed which can be off a day bleed 30 days off a day bleed another 30 days and so it goes on .. not nice. any ideas would be welcomed. I have had 5 D & C s and 3 lapostopys as well in the past 15 years without any success a hystertectomy i was told would be not a good idea for me as i have been through too much and at my age now i should be near enough not getting any periods, I had 2 mis carriages in 1999 in which i lost alot of blood and my blood level was at a concern that i had a doctor from the hospital sit with me all night incase i went past the danger level. thank you

i really feel you should be directing these in depth medical questions to your gynaecologist
I would go back to my doctors and ask for a second opinion as it sounds as if its ruining your life! you shouldnt have to "put up with it"...i have a marina coil and am fine with it- still have hot flushes though..
