Dear Editor .....would You Please Consider Making 'politics' A Main Heading Please?

I've asked this before but I'm asking again. In the absence of easily seen and easily 'clickable' topics, 'News' has become a jumble of just about everything. No discussion there lasts long because once threads disappear from the first page, which due to the enormous amount of traffic passing through there, happens very rapidly, in the main, they become forgotten - hence less interest than might otherwise be the case. Talbot has posted a question in 'Politics' and it's the only one there, when really 'Politics' could be taking a lot of the threads that really shouldn't be in 'News' .... but is. Some people have responded to Talbot's thread, but only, I'm guessing, because they've seen it in 'Latest Posts' as I did - not because they've searched the sub-categories.

If 'Politics' was displayed and instantly 'clickable' as 'News' is, I really think it would be beneficial to the site. Some of the sub-categories could be dispensed with altogether and I'd like R&S to become a main category - but that's probably just me so unless others agree with me and wave their banners I'll cope. ;o)
You will find that if you "refresh" using the circle with arrow icon top left of page, rather than the AB site refresh button, and then click the "categories" hamburger icon the + signs in all main categories will show the sub categories also. But only once. Then you have to repeat if you want to further search for a thread that has passed through "latest posts".
