I know it's boring and I know I'm the chief bore ... but it isn't me just making up the rules (I wouldn't want to be on any site that let me do that).
Can I just refer people to the Editor's comment at 09:29 - near the top of this page :

It isn't boring & it ticks me off no end. It's *so* easy to post a thread that gives nothing away in LP. Anyone not wanting to see results would *know* not to click on "Winter Olympics", "Skeleton medals", "Arsenal v Spurs", "England v New Zealand", "Ronnie O'Sullivan match" - or any such title - & *if* they click the link & instantly see the spoiler, tough...

Anyone not wanting to see results would *know* not to click on "Winter Olympics", "Skeleton medals", "Arsenal v Spurs", "England v New Zealand", "Ronnie O'Sullivan match" - or any such title - & *if* they click the link & instantly see the spoiler, tough thingies... Yes, the OP'er should've put details as the 1st answer but obviously didn't & now you've only yourself to blame for thinking "Ah, what harm could a click do?..."
The "Latest Posts" title should be all that's needed to show that a thread needs to be avoided, but too many on here are so entrenched in their mindsets that they're unable to see the logic involved & invoke "don't use the Net if you don't want to see results" as a feeble excuse for an atrocious lack of manners.
Re the other thread - well done to Lizzy & Laura :-)

It is a quite easy mistake to make LIK, I've done it myself watching a live premier league game and had put up *spoiler alert* as the heading as the match were ongoing but gave away the result. I are more pre-cautious and tend not to post any results or latest scores these days as some members of AB get a bit uppity ;-)
A mistake's easy, Ark......but we have three members who will deliberately put up spoilers.....
They...and one or two others will then say.....well don't look.....results are everywhere....you can't avoid them.....
Yes, they are.......and are easy to avoid.....but if you want a noodle on AB with a cup of coffee there is no need to be seeing the results...if folk are polite....most are...but as I say....... ;-)
Then you'll get the sniffy.....so are we not allowed to talk about this on AB?
A match/game can be discussed at length....with a bit of consideration.....x
