Hello?
Question Author
Is that what it means cos I have received an email I am not happy with.

This person is asking me for another friend's email address and I don't want to give it to her.

This will be her second email to me today - earlier she was asking me now she is "demanding" it.
Ignore it, JJ. Delete the email/
.
Unsure about the title but you are under no obligation to give it. Perhaps say you will inform the other friend that the other is trying to get in touch and leave it to them.
If you don't want to give it to her then don't, jj.

I know I said person but she is a friend too - who hasn't seen this other friend in about 40 years - but recently seen her at a funeral and couldn't get over how bubbly and happy this other friend is - other friend was acting out of character.

This other friend is no way happy or bubbly but is suffering from a deep depression and sadness and I don't want the first friend to know this. Sorry for confusion.
Question Author
Give it to me - she said.
I think the word you were after is emotional blackmail - follow the advice above JJ.
I would offer to pass on this lady's email address to your friend and then it is up to her.
Question Author
I am actually shaking.
She sounds a bully, she shouldn't be upsetting you like that.

This is the one whose husband told me he was dying for a dog for Xmas - of course he didn't get one.
She's used to getting her own way then, do as Pixie says.
Question Author
pretty much Mamy - although all these years I never knew it. She sorta doesn't suffer fools gladly.
JJ...it's an email address, not a state secret. I'm sure loads of people have it.
Don't pass it on without the owner's permission JJ.
Really? It's not like a phone number. You can ignore emails. Look how many people and firms have our email address. If you do anything online you give your email address. What harm can be done?
I echo what WBM says. Never give anyone's contact details out - including their email - without their permission.
