Apparently some bookshops are taking David Walliams' books off their shelves: http:// www.dai lymail. co.uk/n ews/art icle-53 20625/O cado-bo ss-face s-backl ash-Pre sidents -Club-a ttendan ce.html
I've always found Walliams creepy, dating back to when he did this on the Little Britain stage tour:
What do you think?

This story and others like it will run indefinitely, causing much foaming at the mouth and self righteous indignation from its readers as possibly a few careers might be ruined. While I would most likely dislike a partner of mine taking part, I'd not want to see them hung, drawn and quartered in the press for attending.
This is exactly why I haven't read, let alone bought, a newspaper since the phone hacking business. I'm thoroughly fed up with their non stories, their made up stories and their holier than thou attitude. It appears that one of them is now trying to make out there is jealousy and a rift between Ms Markle and the Duchess of Cambridge. I do hope people don't get their knickers in a twist over that too.
I'm not keen on David Walliams but he writes good children's books, the kids love them and they encourage less able and reluctant readers, which can only be good.

To take action against Mr Walliams for something he has clearly not done smacks of obtuse moralising and / or attention seeking behaviour.
I find Mr Walliams' camp shtick persona deeply unfunny and somewhat creepy, but that would never stop me from buying and reading his books, if I were so inclined.
The media adores these storms in teacups, they are easy to write, take no effort to research, and generate huge responses, which is actually what we are guilty of here!
Never mind - moving on ...

TTT - // there seems to be a lot of hysteria over a gentlmans evening! //
It depends on what you call a 'gentleman's evening'.
If it's an occasion where men-only crowds get together to paw women and behave like drunken teenagers with less self-control than rutting dugs - then yes, there is rightly a log of fuss about it.
There was a time when such things were accepted as 'the way men are' - such events have no place in a civilised society in 2018.

Oh look Jimmy Carr looked at a hostess whilst working there 3 years ago, perhaps all men should be blindfolded and have their hands removed.
whilst we are at it the dream boys and the Chippendale will need to be banned as equality works all ways, plenty of us have seen how women behave with male strippers.

“Are we allowed to slate someone like this?”
I take it you don’t use Twitter,
Back to the vid, wow, the man whose clothes he ripped off was clearly shouting in distress and had that been a woman I wonder would the crow still have been laughing and by his body language afterwards he was clearly embarrassed and uncomfortable but feigning interest in a tunnel vision way focusing on Walliams
I surprised the man didn’t try and sue unless something was in the t&c’s of the ticket or the man was with a group of lads/work colleagues and didn’t want to appear to be a “pansy”
